The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is likely to announce the UPTET Result 2026 in the first week of August 2026. While the result was earlier expected by the end of July, its release has been postponed. Once declared, candidates will be able to check their results and download their scorecards from the official UPESSC website.

The UPTET 2026 examination was conducted in offline mode from July 2 to July 4, 2026, for both Paper I and Paper II across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The provisional answer key was published on July 8, and candidates were allowed to raise objections until July 14. The final answer key is expected to be released either alongside the result or a day before the result announcement.

UPTET 2026 Result and Eligibility Certificate

To access the result, candidates will need to log in using their registration ID and password or date of birth. Those who qualify in the examination will be issued a Teacher Eligibility Certificate, which is valid for a lifetime.

The distribution of eligibility certificates is expected to begin during September or October 2026 through the respective District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) centres.

The examination witnessed a large number of applicants across 955 examination centres in Uttar Pradesh.

• Overall Attendance: 88.77%

• Paper I Attendance: 91.12%

• Paper II Attendance: 87.25%

UPTET 2026 Qualifying Marks

UPTET is a qualifying examination, and candidates must secure the minimum prescribed marks to be declared qualified.

Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking. As the examination was conducted in multiple shifts, score normalization will be applied wherever required.

Security Arrangements During the Examination

To ensure transparency and prevent unfair practices, UPESSC implemented AI-enabled CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, and other security measures throughout the examination.

According to official information, 44 impersonation cases were identified during the examination, while one candidate was caught attempting to hide a smartphone inside footwear.

Candidates who qualify in UPTET 2026 will become eligible to apply for upcoming teacher recruitment drives in Uttar Pradesh, including the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination (Super TET), whenever recruitment notifications are issued by the state authorities.
