Description

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the provisional answer key for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 on its official website, upsc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination conducted on August 2, 2026, can now download the answer key and compare their responses.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 1,358 Medical Officer vacancies under Category I and Category II services.

UPSC CMS 2026 Recruitment Overview

The online application process for UPSC CMS 2026 was open from March 11 to March 31, 2026, while admit cards were released on July 24, 2026. Following the completion of the written examination, the Commission is expected to announce the results in September 2026.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be required to submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) in October 2026. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to appear for the Personality Test, likely to be conducted between November and December 2026. The interview carries 100 marks, which will be considered while preparing the final merit list.

How to Download UPSC CMS Answer Key 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to access the provisional answer key:

  • First visit the UPSC official website.

  • Click on the "Examinations" tab on the homepage.

  • Select "Answer Keys" from the drop-down menu.

  • Locate and open the "Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 Answer Key" link.

  • Choose the required answer key for Paper I or Paper II.

  • The answer key will be displayed in PDF format.

  • Download and save the PDF for future reference.
