The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final result of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Examination 2025. Along with the result, the Commission has also published the final post allocation list after completing the sliding process and identity verification of shortlisted candidates.

According to the official notification, a total of 1,731 candidates have been provisionally recommended for appointment. The list of selected candidates is available on the official SSC website.

Final Allocation Process

The Commission conducted the sliding and identity verification process on July 20 and 21, 2026. Candidates who failed to attend the verification process were treated as absent and were not considered for the final allocation.

During the allocation exercise:

• 585 candidates opted for the 'Fix' option.

• 1,028 candidates selected the 'Float' option.

• 118 candidates received fresh allocations against vacancies created due to the absence of other candidates.

The final allotment has been prepared on the basis of candidates' merit, post preferences submitted during the application process, and the option (Fix or Float) chosen during the sliding process.

The Commission has filled all 1,731 reported vacancies through provisional recommendations. The category-wise distribution is as follows:

The final selection list also includes eligible candidates under various Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, as per the applicable reservation policy.

What Happens After the Final Result?

The document verification and appointment process will now be conducted by the respective user departments where the candidates have been allotted posts.

Candidates who do not receive any communication from their allotted department within six months of the declaration of the final result should contact the concerned department directly. SSC has clarified that it will not entertain queries related to appointment or document verification after the declaration of the final result.

The Commission has also confirmed that no reserve list or waiting list has been prepared. Vacancies arising due to candidates declining or not joining the allotted posts will be carried forward by the concerned departments in future recruitment cycles.

Fresh Merit Ranks Issued

SSC has assigned new merit ranks to all candidates included in the final selection list. These revised ranks will replace the ranks issued during the provisional allocation stage. However, all other information published in the earlier tentative allocation notice will remain valid unless specifically revised.

The Commission has further stated that the final answer key, candidate response sheets, and individual marks of both selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded on the official SSC website in due course.
