The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 results. A total of 1,340 candidates have successfully cleared the written examination and have been shortlisted for the Interview/Personality Test, the next stage of the recruitment process. The UPSC ESE Mains examination was conducted on June 21, 2026.

The Commission has stated that the candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional. Final eligibility will be verified during the Personality Test, where candidates must produce original documents supporting their age, educational qualifications, category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status, benchmark disability (if applicable), and any other claims made while submitting the application. Aspirants are advised to keep all required certificates ready and carefully follow the document verification guidelines available on the official UPSC website.

UPSC to Open 15-Day Online Window Before Personality Test

UPSC will soon activate a 15-day online application window for candidates selected for the Personality Test. During this period, candidates must log in to the designated UPSC portal and upload proof of passing the required qualifying examination.

The Commission has made it clear that candidates who fail to complete this mandatory online process will not be permitted to appear for the Personality Test, and their candidature may be cancelled.

Along with uploading the required documents, candidates will also be able to update the following information:

• Correspondence address

• Higher educational qualifications

• Academic and professional achievements

• Employment and work experience details

• Service allocation preferences

• Service preference choices

UPSC has instructed all shortlisted candidates to submit the online application form during this window, even if no changes are required, as this step is essential for the generation of the e-Summon Letter for the interview.

Candidates can follow these steps to access their result:

• First visit the UPSC official website.

• Navigate to the "What's New" or "Examination" section on the homepage.

• Click on the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 Result link.

• The result PDF will appear on the screen.

• Use Ctrl + F to search for your roll number.

• Download and save the PDF for future reference.
