Description
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the NEET UG Counselling 2026 schedule soon, marking the beginning of the admission process for over 20 lakh NEET UG aspirants across India. Once the schedule is announced, eligible candidates will be able to register for counselling and participate in seat allotment for MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses.
For students planning their college preferences, the NIRF 2025 Medical Rankings serve as a useful reference to compare institutions. However, admission to medical colleges is determined by factors such as NEET UG rank, reservation category, seat availability, and choices filled during counselling, rather than NIRF rankings alone.
MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026
The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct counselling for:
15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS seats in government medical colleges.
100% seats in institutions such as:
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
Other participating central and deemed universities.
The counselling process will include online registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted institute.

Payment of counselling fee.
Choice filling and locking of preferred colleges.
Seat allotment based on NEET UG rank, category, and preferences.
Downloading the allotment letter.
Document verification at the allotted institute.
Payment of admission fees and reporting to the college.
Candidates who fail to report within the prescribed timeline may lose their allotted seat.
