Description

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses for candidates who appeared in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. Candidates can now access these documents through the official NEET website. In addition, scanned copies of the OMR sheets have been sent to the registered email addresses of eligible candidates.

This facility enables candidates to verify whether the responses captured by the scanning system accurately match the answers marked on their original OMR sheets. However, NTA has clarified that the answer key objection process has already been completed, and no further challenges to the answer key will be entertained.

Window Open to Challenge Recorded Responses

Candidates who notice discrepancies between their marked answers and the recorded responses can submit objections online until 11:00 am on July 15, 2026.

A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per challenged response must be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Objections submitted without the required fee or through any method other than the official online portal will not be accepted.

To access the scanned OMR sheet and recorded responses, candidates must log in using their application number and password. NTA has also implemented a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) process, requiring verification through a one-time password (OTP) sent to the candidate's registered mobile number and email address.

How to Raise an Objection

The online challenge portal allows candidates to compare the scanned OMR image with the responses recorded by the system. If a candidate finds that a recorded response does not match the answer marked on the original OMR sheet, they can select the relevant question and specify the option they believe was correctly marked.

Apart from response-related discrepancies, candidates can also report errors in important details such as the roll number, booklet number, or test booklet set code. The portal automatically calculates the total fee based on the number of objections raised. After completing the payment, candidates should submit the challenge online and save the acknowledgement page for future reference.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

NTA has advised candidates to thoroughly examine their scanned OMR sheets before submitting any challenge. The agency has reiterated that only answers marked by completely darkening a single circle with a blue or black ballpoint pen will be considered valid during evaluation.

The agency has also warned candidates against submitting altered or tampered OMR images. Any attempt to manipulate documents may be treated as an unfair practice and could result in disciplinary action, including disqualification, debarment from future examinations, or legal proceedings.
