Description
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has opened the Round 2 registration and choice-filling process for WBJEE Counselling 2026. Candidates who are eligible for the second round can now submit their preferred colleges and courses through the official counselling website.
As per the announced schedule, the Round 2 choice-filling facility will remain available until July 17, 2026. The board will publish the Round 2 seat allotment result on July 21, and candidates allotted seats will need to complete the reporting process at their respective colleges by July 23.
WBJEE Counselling 2026 Round 2 Choice Filling Process
During the choice-filling stage, candidates must arrange their preferred courses and colleges according to their priority. Applicants are advised to enter multiple choices to increase their chances of receiving a seat allotment.
WBJEEB has informed candidates that Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) seats will be displayed separately for every participating college and programme. Candidates interested in both TFW and regular seats should select both categories while filling choices.
If a candidate selects only one seat category, they may lose the opportunity to be considered for the other category. After entering their preferences, candidates must lock their choices before the deadline. In case a candidate does not manually lock the choices, the system will automatically freeze the last saved preferences after the closing time.
Factors Considered for WBJEE Round 2 Seat Allotment
The Round 2 allotment result will be prepared based on various factors, including:
Candidate’s WBJEE rank or JEE Main rank
Preferences submitted during choice filling
Reservation category
Availability of seats in participating institutes
WBJEE Counselling 2026 Round 3 Schedule
WBJEEB has also released the schedule for the third round of counselling. The Round 3 registration and choice-filling process will begin on July 24 and continue until July 26, 2026.
The Round 3 seat allotment result will be announced on July 28. Candidates who receive seats in this round must complete the required fee payment and report to their allotted institutes between July 28 and July 30.
WBJEE counselling is conducted for admission to engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy undergraduate programmes offered by universities and colleges across West Bengal. Candidates are advised to complete the choice-filling process carefully and within the given timeline to ensure smooth participation in the admission process.
