Description
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Cell has issued an important notice for candidates participating in the OJEE Counselling 2026 process. Applicants have been advised to carefully verify and correct their application details, as accurate information is essential for seat allocation.
The advisory highlights issues found in some applications for programmes including B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, B.Cat, and Integrated M.Sc. courses. The concern relates to candidates whose CBSE Class 12 mark sheets display an ‘RT’ (Repeat Theory) status in qualifying subjects.
Such candidates have been instructed to review their documents and take necessary action within the specified timeline to ensure compliance with the eligibility requirements.
OJEE Counselling 2026: Guidelines for Rectification
The OJEE authorities have issued the following instructions for candidates facing the RT status issue:
Eligibility Concern: Candidates with a pending ‘RT’ (Repeat Theory) status in mandatory subjects do not fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements for admission.
Withdrawal Requirement: If a candidate has an RT status but their documents were mistakenly marked as verified during the counselling process, they must immediately withdraw their candidature from the counselling system.
Inform OJEE If Unable to Withdraw: Candidates who are unable to complete the withdrawal process online must submit a written request to the OJEE office without delay.
The committee has warned that if candidates fail to withdraw or report incorrect information, their allotted seats may be cancelled during the later physical verification process conducted by institutions or universities. OJEE will not be responsible for any loss of admission caused due to incorrect details submitted by candidates.
OJEE Counselling 2026 Round 1 Deadline Extended
The OJEE authorities have also extended the deadline for Round 1 document upload and seat acceptance fee payment for several postgraduate and professional programmes.
The extended facility applies to courses including:
M.Tech
M.Arch
M.Plan
MBA
MCA
M.Sc. Computer Science
MBA (Working Professional)
Candidates can now complete document submission and fee payment until 11:59 PM on July 13, 2026.
The counselling schedule remains unchanged despite the extension. Candidates are required to log in through their respective accounts and complete the pending formalities within the revised deadline.
The OJEE Committee has clarified that no further extension will be provided, and applicants should complete all required steps within the given timeframe to avoid losing their admission opportunity.
