The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Preliminary Examination 2026 admit card for registered candidates. The preliminary exam will be conducted on July 15, 2026, and candidates appearing for the test must carry a printed copy of their hall ticket along with the required documents.

The admit cards were issued on July 9, 2026, and candidates can download them through the official BPSC online portal by using their login credentials.

The BPSC APO Preliminary Examination will be conducted in offline OMR-based mode at various examination centres across Bihar. The recruitment drive is being held for 300 Assistant Prosecution Officer vacancies under Advertisement No. 13/2026.

BPSC APO Exam Day Guidelines 2026

Candidates must follow the instructions issued by BPSC on the day of the examination. They are required to carry:

• A printed copy of the BPSC Bihar APO Admit Card 2026

• Original government-issued photo identity proof, such as:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • PAN Card

  • Voter ID Card

  • Passport

  • Driving Licence

• Two recent passport-size photographs

Applicants should report to their allotted examination centre at least one hour before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card to complete entry formalities, security checks, and document verification.

Electronic items, including mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and recording gadgets, will not be permitted inside the examination hall.

BPSC Bihar APO Preliminary Exam Schedule 2026

The preliminary examination will be conducted in two shifts on July 15, 2026:

• General Studies Paper: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

• Law Paper: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM

The exam pattern includes:

• Paper I – General Studies: 100 marks

• Paper II – Law: 150 marks

The examination will be conducted through OMR sheets, and candidates will face a negative marking of one-third mark for every incorrect response.

Candidates can access their hall tickets by following these steps:

• First visit the official BPSC online candidate portal.

• Log in using your username or registration number and password.

• Enter the captcha code and access your candidate dashboard.

• Select the View/Download Admit Card option available for the Assistant Prosecution Officer recruitment.

• Check all details mentioned on the admit card carefully.

• Download the PDF and take multiple printouts for examination day.

Candidates should ensure that details such as their name, roll number, examination centre, date, and reporting time are correctly mentioned on the admit card.

BPSC APO Recruitment 2026 Details

The BPSC released the APO recruitment notification on February 25, 2026. The online application process was conducted from February 27 to March 20, 2026.

The selection procedure consists of three stages:

• Preliminary Examination

• Main Examination

• Interview

Applicants must have an LL.B. degree from a recognised university to be eligible for the post.

The age limit for unreserved male candidates is 21 to 37 years, while relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to eligible reserved category and female candidates as per government regulations.
