The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the Round 4 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026 on its official website. Candidates who took part in the counselling process can now log in to the portal to check the institute and programme allotted to them.

Applicants who have received a seat in the fourth round must complete the online reporting process, upload the required documents, and pay the seat acceptance fee by 5:00 PM on July 13, 2026 to confirm their admission.

Seat Acceptance Fee

As per the official counselling guidelines, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), General-Persons with Disabilities (GEN-PwD), General-Economically Weaker Section-Persons with Disabilities (GEN-EWS-PwD), Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer-Persons with Disabilities (OBC-NCL-PwD), SC-PwD, and ST-PwD categories are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 15,000.

Candidates from all other categories must pay Rs 35,000 as the seat acceptance fee.

Admission Through JoSAA Counselling

JoSAA conducts the centralized counselling process for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and other undergraduate engineering programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) across the country.

Freeze, Float and Slide Options

After the seat allotment, candidates can choose from the following options based on their admission preferences:

• Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds.

• Float: Retain the allotted seat while remaining eligible for a higher-preference institute in upcoming rounds.

• Slide: Keep the allotted institute but seek an upgraded course or branch within the same institute in the next round.

Final Round Schedule

According to the official counselling calendar, the final Round 5 seat allotment result will be announced on July 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates allotted seats in the final round will have to report to their respective institutes and complete document verification by 5:00 PM on July 21, 2026.

Candidates can follow these steps to access their allotment result:

• Visit the official JoSAA website.

• Click on the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result link on the homepage.

• Enter your JEE Main Application Number, Password, and the displayed Security Pin.

• Submit the login details.

• The allotted institute and course details will be displayed on the screen.

• Download and save the seat allotment letter for future admission-related procedures.
