The closing ranks for admission vary depending on the institute and course. In previous counselling rounds, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering seats at leading government polytechnic colleges generally closed between 5,000 and 8,000 ranks during Round 2.

For aided polytechnic institutions, admissions were commonly offered up to ranks between 10,000 and 22,000, while many private colleges continued accepting candidates with ranks above 50,000, depending on seat availability.
