The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the advance examination city intimation slip for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download the city slip by visiting the official CSIR-UGC NET portal and logging in with their application number and password.

The city intimation slip allows candidates to know the city where their examination centre has been allotted so they can make travel and accommodation arrangements in advance.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination is held to determine the eligibility of candidates for:

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

• Appointment as Assistant Professor

• Assistant Professor with admission to PhD

• Admission to PhD programmes only

CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 Exam Schedule

The examination will be conducted on July 17 and July 18, 2026, as per the schedule announced by NTA.

July 17, 2026

• Life Sciences: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

• Mathematical Sciences: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• Physical Sciences: Conducted during the second shift

July 18, 2026

• Chemical Sciences: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

• Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences: Morning session

Candidates are advised to verify their examination date and shift carefully after downloading the official city intimation slip.

City Intimation Slip Is Not the Admit Card

The National Testing Agency has clarified that the exam city intimation slip is not the admit card.

Its purpose is only to inform candidates about the city where their examination centre has been assigned. This helps applicants plan their travel before the examination.

The official admit card for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination will be released separately on the official website.
