Description
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026. Schools can now complete the submission process for regular candidates until July 9, 2026, according to an official notification available on the CBSE website.
The board stated that the extension has been granted to ensure that all eligible candidates are able to complete the registration process within the revised timeline.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026 Registration Fee
Schools must pay the examination fee based on their location. The prescribed fee structure is:
Rs 320 per subject for schools in India
Rs 1,100 per subject for schools in Nepal
Rs 2,200 per subject for schools located outside India
The fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam Date 2026
The CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 will be conducted on July 28, 2026.
The examination will follow the 2025–26 academic session syllabus, which has already been published on the CBSE website.
Students opting for Improvement of Performance are allowed to appear in only one subject that they had already taken in the main board examination.
CBSE will issue a consolidated mark sheet only to those students whose 2026 board examination result was declared as Compartment and who successfully pass the supplementary examination.
Who Can Apply for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam?
The following categories of students are eligible to appear for the supplementary examination:
Private candidates who appeared in five or six subjects in the 2026 board examination and were declared under the Compartment category can apply for one or two compartment subjects.
Private candidates who appeared in six subjects in the 2026 board examination, were declared Pass, but failed in one subject, can apply for that subject under the Improvement of Performance category, provided the examination for that subject is being conducted.
Students whose result was declared Compartment in the 2025 board examination, remained in the compartment category after the first supplementary attempt in 2025, and again after the second chance conducted along with the 2026 board examinations, are also eligible to apply for the supplementary examination.
Eligible students are advised to coordinate with their respective schools to ensure the LOC is submitted before the revised deadline.
