The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened the online application process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026. Eligible candidates can now register by submitting their applications through the official NBEMS portal.

As per the official schedule, the NEET PG 2026 examination will take place on August 30, 2026, in a computer-based test (CBT) format at designated examination centres across India. The online application window opened at 5:00 pm on July 1, 2026, and will remain available until 11:55 pm on July 21, 2026.

Applicants are advised to go through the Information Bulletin thoroughly before filling out the application form and complete the registration process well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute issues.

Important Guidelines for Applicants

NBEMS has issued several instructions that candidates should keep in mind while applying:

• Read the Information Bulletin carefully before beginning the application process.

• Test city allocation will not be based on a first-come, first-served system. Applying early does not improve the chances of securing a preferred examination city.

• Candidates must select three preferred test states while filling out the application.

• The first preference must match the correspondence state mentioned in the application form.

• The remaining two preferences should be neighbouring states.

• Applicants must provide a valid correspondence address supported by acceptable proof of address.

• Once the application is submitted, neither the correspondence address nor the preferred test states can be modified, even during the correction window.

• Candidates must upload a recent passport-size photograph taken within the last three months, along with their signature and any other required images, following the prescribed specifications. Applications containing unclear, altered, or incorrect images may be rejected, and admit cards may not be issued.

• Although NBEMS will try to assign candidates to one of their preferred test cities, it may allot an examination centre anywhere in India due to administrative, security, technical, or logistical requirements.

• Click on the NEET PG 2026 Registration link.

• Create a new account using the required details.

• Log in and complete the online application form.

• Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.

• Pay the application fee using the available online payment methods.

• Verify all the information before submitting the application.

• Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Requests sent through other channels may not be entertained and could result in delays.
