The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that candidates who appeared for the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will be able to access their individual OMR response sheets at a later stage. The announcement follows queries from students regarding the absence of OMR sheets when the provisional answer key was released.

According to the agency, the OMR scanning process is still in progress. Once it is completed, candidates will receive a separate notification to view and download their recorded responses, enabling them to verify the answers marked during the examination.

Answer Key Challenge Window Already Open

While the OMR sheets are yet to be released, NTA has already activated the provisional answer key challenge facility. Candidates can submit objections from June 25 to June 28, 2026, by paying a processing fee of Rs 200 per question.

The agency has stated that if any objection is found valid by the expert committee, the fee paid for that particular challenge will be refunded in full.

Why the Answer Key Was Released Before OMR Sheets

NTA explained that the answer key challenge process was intentionally launched before the completion of OMR scanning to ensure greater transparency and to reduce the overall result timeline.

By inviting objections early, subject experts can begin evaluating the challenges while the OMR sheets are being processed. This parallel process is expected to help the agency publish the final answer key and declare the Re-NEET UG 2026 results sooner.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates have been advised to submit challenges only for the Question Paper Series Code allotted to them, which is printed on the cover page of the test booklet they retained after the examination.

Any correction accepted by the expert panel will be applied uniformly across all question paper sets before the final answer key is prepared.

Final Result After OMR Verification

After the OMR response sheets are made available and all answer key challenges are reviewed, NTA will issue the final answer key. The Re-NEET UG 2026 result will be prepared and declared based solely on this revised final answer key.
