The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has set June 26, 2026 (until 5 PM) as the deadline for completing the Round 1 seat acceptance fee payment and document upload process. Candidates allotted seats must log in to the official website and complete all required formalities within the given time.
Students facing issues such as failed or pending payments before the deadline may be able to use the correction window, which will remain open until June 29, 2026, but only for transactions initiated before the cutoff time.
JoSAA Round 1 Fee Payment Process
Candidates can complete the seat acceptance process by following these steps:
Visit the official website.
Go to the Candidate Portal / Candidate Profile section
Log in using Application Number, Password, and Security Pin
View your Round 1 seat allotment details
Select your option: Freeze / Float / Slide
Upload the required documents
Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee
Download and save the seat acceptance letter (PDF)

JoSAA 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee Structure
SC / ST / GEN-PwD / EWS-PwD / OBC-NCL-PwD / SC-PwD / ST-PwD: Rs 15,000
All other candidates: Rs 30,000
Processing charges: Rs 5,000 (adjusted against admission fee later)
After successful payment, the allotted seat is considered provisionally accepted, subject to document verification.

Any mismatch or false documentation may lead to rejection of admission
Candidates must ensure payment is completed before 5 PM on June 26, 2026
JoSAA Fee Withdrawal Option
Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seat can opt for withdrawal or choose float/slide options.
To withdraw:
Log in to the JoSAA portal
Select the “Withdrawal of Seat” option
Fill out the withdrawal form carefully
Upload required documents, including bank passbook copy
Submit and download the acknowledgement slip for future reference
Candidates are advised to carefully review their options before final submission, as JoSAA counselling decisions impact further admission rounds.
