Description

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has issued the PGCIL Non-Executive Admit Card 2026 for candidates applying for Diploma Trainee (DT), Junior Officer Trainee (JOT), and Junior Technician Trainee (JTT) posts. Applicants registered under Advertisement No. CC/01/2026 can now download their hall tickets from the official POWERGRID website.

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2026, for candidates competing for more than 660 vacancies across POWERGRID and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL).

PGCIL Admit Card 2026 Download Process

The admit card link has been activated in the Careers section of the official POWERGRID portal. Candidates need to log in using their Application Number and Date of Birth to access and download the hall ticket.

The admit card includes important details such as:

  • Candidate's name and roll number

  • Examination centre details

  • Reporting time

  • Exam day instructions

  • Personal information

Candidates should carefully verify all the details printed on the admit card. In case of any discrepancies, they should contact the recruitment authorities before the examination date.

PGCIL CBT 2026 Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Test will consist of 170 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 2 hours.

The question paper will include:

  • Technical/Professional Knowledge: 120 questions

  • Aptitude: 50 questions

A negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) mark will apply for every incorrect answer. Candidates are advised to balance speed with accuracy while attempting the paper.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Skill Test/Trade Test (Qualifying)

  • Medical Examination

Only candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.

Posts and Eligibility

The recruitment drive includes vacancies for:

  • Diploma Trainee (Electrical)

  • Diploma Trainee (Civil)

  • Diploma Trainee (Survey)

  • Junior Officer Trainee (Human Resources)

  • Junior Officer Trainee (Finance & Accounts)

  • Junior Technician Trainee (Surveyor)

Applicants must possess the prescribed diploma, degree, or ITI qualification relevant to the post they have applied for. POWERGRID has clarified that candidates holding higher qualifications such as B.Tech or M.Tech will not be considered eligible for diploma-level trainee positions.

Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:

  • Printed copy of the PGCIL Admit Card 2026

  • Valid original photo identity proof

Entry to the examination hall will not be allowed without these documents. Candidates should also read and follow all instructions mentioned on the admit card regarding reporting time, prohibited items, and examination guidelines.
