The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conclude the registration process for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 today, June 25. Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can complete the process through the official SSC portal before the deadline expires.

The Commission recently reopened the application window after receiving representations from candidates who were unable to register during the initial application period. The extension offers a final opportunity for eligible aspirants to apply for one of the largest recruitment examinations conducted in India.

According to SSC, more than 28 lakh candidates have already completed their registrations for SSC CGL 2026.

Extended Registration Window

The reopened application process began on June 23, 2026, at 11:00 PM and will remain available until June 25, 2026, at 11:00 PM.

Candidates are advised to submit their applications well before the closing time to avoid last-minute technical issues caused by heavy website traffic.

The SSC CGL 2026 recruitment drive aims to fill over 12,000 vacancies in various ministries, departments, and government offices across the country.

Application Fee Payment Deadline

Applicants who successfully submit their forms within the extended registration period can pay the application fee online until June 26, 2026, at 11:00 PM.

Candidates must ensure that both application submission and fee payment are completed successfully, as incomplete applications may not be considered for further processing.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the application process:

Application Correction Facility

SSC has also revised the application correction schedule following the extension of the registration period.

Candidates will be able to make permitted changes to their submitted forms from July 1 to July 3, 2026, until 11:00 PM through the correction window.

Revised Eligibility Cut-Off Date

The Commission has clarified that June 25, 2026, the extended last date for submission of applications, will be treated as the reference date for determining eligibility wherever applicable under the SSC CGL 2026 notification.

No Other Changes in Recruitment Rules

Apart from the revised dates for registration, fee payment, and application correction, all other conditions mentioned in the original SSC CGL 2026 notification released on May 21, 2026, remain unchanged.

Candidates who are yet to apply should complete their registration before the application window closes to avoid missing the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.
