The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has begun the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) registration for admission to the five-year LLB programme for the academic year 2026–27. Candidates who qualified in the entrance examination can now apply online through the official portal. The registration process will remain open until July 9, 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete the application process within the given timeframe and upload all required documents in the prescribed format. This centralised admission procedure is being conducted for admission to participating law colleges across Maharashtra.

Documents required for CAP registration

Applicants must upload a recent passport-size colour photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format, following the specified size and guidelines mentioned in the official instructions. In addition, candidates need to submit academic certificates and other relevant documents as part of the application process. A complete list of required documents is available on the CET Cell portal. All files must be scanned and uploaded correctly to avoid rejection.

Important instructions for candidates

The CET Cell has advised students to prepare all documents in advance before starting the registration process. Any incomplete application or incorrectly uploaded file may impact eligibility for admission. Candidates must carefully verify all details while filling out the CAP form.

The admission process is being conducted under the Higher and Technical Education Department through a centralised system for law admissions across the state.

Participation in MHT CET LLB 2026

According to the CET Cell, 29,288 candidates appeared for the five-year LLB entrance examination in 2026. These candidates are eligible to take part in the CAP registration process, provided they meet all admission requirements.

Students are advised to regularly visit the official CET Cell website for updates related to counselling schedules, document verification, and further admission rounds. All official notifications will be released on the portal.
