Market research firm Morningstar described the IPO valuation as significantly high compared to SpaceX’s financial fundamentals. On 16 June 2026, the company also announced a $60 billion stock-based acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor, owned by Anysphere, with the deal expected to close in Q3 2026.
