Description

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a clarification regarding CUET 2026 after concerns were raised on social media about the provisional answer keys. The agency stated that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was conducted for 37 subjects across multiple shifts between May 11 and May 31, 2026.

NTA also explained that the examination scheduled for May 28 was cancelled due to Bakrid, and additional sessions were later conducted on June 6 and June 7 to complete the examination process.

Large-Scale Examination and Objection Status

According to NTA, CUET 2026 was conducted on a very large scale, involving more than 18,000 questions across different shifts. The agency further noted that the number of objections received against unique questions remains within the usual range observed in national-level entrance examinations.

The clarification was issued to address growing discussions online and to reassure students and parents regarding the transparency of the evaluation process.

CUET 2026 Answer Key: Expert Review Process

NTA stated that all objections raised by candidates are thoroughly reviewed by subject matter experts before the final answer key is published. This expert verification step ensures accuracy and fairness in the evaluation process before the declaration of results.

The agency also emphasized that this structured review mechanism is part of its standard procedure for resolving discrepancies in provisional answer keys.

Advisory for Candidates

Candidates have been advised to strictly follow the official Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for raising objections. NTA has also requested students to avoid spreading unverified information on social media, as it may cause unnecessary stress among aspirants during the result period.
