Description
The Maharashtra School Education Department will commence the second phase of the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admission process by publishing the list of vacant seats on June 6, 2026.
The vacant seat list will provide students with an overview of available seats in junior colleges across the state before the next round of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). This information will enable applicants to make better-informed choices while filling in their college preferences for Round 2.
Fresh Registration and Application Correction Window Reopens
In addition to releasing the seat vacancy details, the department will reopen the online portal for new registrations and corrections in Part I application forms.
Students who were unable to complete their registration during the earlier admission phase will be allowed to apply from June 6 to June 9, 2026. Existing applicants will also have an opportunity to edit or update information submitted in their application forms during the same period.
Candidates should carefully review details such as personal information, academic records, and reservation category data before submitting corrections, as these particulars will be considered during the preparation of merit lists and seat allotment.
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result on June 13
Following the completion of registrations and corrections, authorities will prepare the merit list and allotment records for the second admission round.
The merit and allotment lists are scheduled to be prepared between June 10 and June 12, 2026. The CAP Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced on June 13, 2026.
On the same day, the department will also publish the list of students who have been allotted seats in various junior colleges. Candidates receiving an allotment must complete the admission formalities within the stipulated timeline.
