The Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has officially released the APTET June 2026 notification. Candidates interested in applying for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) can view the detailed notification on the official website.

The last date to submit the application form is July 5, 2026. Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and other important instructions before applying.

Eligibility Criteria for APTET 2026

To apply for APTET June 2026, candidates must possess the minimum required qualifications as specified for different papers:

  • Paper 1A: For teaching Classes I to V in Regular Schools

  • Paper 1B: For Classes I to V in Special Schools

  • Paper 2A: For Classes VI to VIII in Regular Schools

  • Paper 2B: For Classes VI to VIII in Special Schools

Candidates must ensure they meet the required educational qualifications at the time of application as mentioned in the official notification.

Exam Pattern and Structure

The APTET examination will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry one mark, and there will be four options for each question, with only one correct answer. Importantly, there will be no negative marking in the exam.

The test is divided into two papers:

  • Paper 1: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V

  • Paper 2: For candidates aiming to teach Classes VI to VIII

Candidates holding both D.El.Ed and B.Ed qualifications are eligible to appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 if they wish to teach across both levels.

Application Fee Details

The application fee for APTET June 2026 is Rs 1000 per paper. Candidates opting for multiple papers must pay the fee separately for each paper they choose.

The fee payment must be completed through online mode only.
