The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results and NTA scores for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards through the official NCET portal.

The NCET 2026 examination was conducted on April 17 and 18 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various centres spread across 145 cities nationwide. The entrance test is conducted on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission to teacher education programmes offered by participating Central and State universities, as well as premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and government colleges.

Participation Statistics

According to data released by NTA, a total of 73,608 candidates registered for the examination, while 58,995 candidates appeared for the test. The overall attendance rate was recorded at 80.14 percent.

The examination covered 66 subjects, including 38 language papers, 26 domain-specific subjects, Teaching Aptitude, and the General Test.

Answer Key Review Process

Before publishing the final results, NTA provided candidates with access to their recorded responses and the provisional answer key. Candidates were allowed to raise objections between April 28 and April 30, 2026.

All challenges submitted within the specified period were carefully reviewed by subject experts. Based on their recommendations, the final answer key was prepared and used for evaluating candidates' performance.

NTA stated that the NCET 2026 results have been compiled strictly in accordance with the final answer keys approved by the expert committee.

How to Download NCET 2026 Scorecard

Candidates can follow the steps below to access their scorecards:

• Visit the NCET official website.

• Click on the link titled "NCET 2026 Score Card" or "NCET 2026 Result" available on the homepage.

• Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.

• Click on the "Submit" button.

• Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

• Verify all details, including personal information and scores.

• Download and print the scorecard for future admission-related requirements.

Candidates can also access the NCET 2026 final answer key through the official portal.
