Anthropic Expands Claude Mythos Preview AI Access Under Project Glasswing

On 2 June 2026, Anthropic widened access to its Claude Mythos Preview artificial intelligence model through Project Glasswing, extending availability to nearly 150 organisations in more than 15 countries, including India. The initiative focuses on organisations operating critical infrastructure such as power grids, water networks, healthcare systems, and telecommunications services.

Project Glasswing and Claude Mythos Preview

Project Glasswing is Anthropic’s programme for providing controlled access to advanced AI systems. Under this initiative, the Claude Mythos Preview model is being made available to selected organisations due to its sophisticated cyber-related capabilities and the potential risks associated with misuse in digital environments.

Anthropic’s Growing Presence in India

Anthropic revealed plans to establish its first Indian office in October 2025, and the Bengaluru office became operational in early 2026. During a visit to New Delhi on 11 October 2025, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss AI development and collaboration opportunities.

Expansion of AI Adoption in India

India has emerged as Anthropic’s second-largest market for Claude AI services after the United States. The company reported that usage of Claude Code in India increased fivefold since June 2025. Anthropic’s India-focused strategy includes partnerships and initiatives across startups, education, healthcare, agriculture, and enterprise sectors.

Global AI Summit 2026

India and Anthropic are expected to jointly host the Global AI Summit 2026 in February 2026.
