Description

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed the timetable for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. Admit cards are expected to be available for download from 15 June 2026. With the application correction process concluding on 28 May 2026, more than 10 lakh candidates are now preparing for the national-level eligibility test.

The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from 22 June to 30 June 2026.

Exam Timings and Important Details

UGC NET June 2026 will be held in two shifts each day:

  • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The test duration will be three hours (180 minutes) without any break. It will consist of two papers featuring objective-type multiple-choice questions.

To support the large number of applicants, NTA has expanded its examination infrastructure by introducing four additional centres in the North-Eastern region, including locations in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Meghalaya. The June 2026 session will also introduce two new subjects—Forestry and Statistics—bringing the total number of available subjects to 87.

How to Download the UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card

Candidates can access their admit cards online by following these steps:

  • First visit the UGC NET official website.

  • Click on the “UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card” link on the homepage.

  • Enter your application number, date of birth, and security code.

  • Submit the details to view your admit card.

  • Download the PDF file and take multiple printouts for future use.

Details to Verify on the Admit Card

After downloading the hall ticket, candidates should carefully review all information printed on it. Ensure that details such as your name, photograph, signature, subject code, examination city, and allotted exam shift are accurate and match the information submitted in the application form.

In case of any error or discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the NTA helpdesk for correction to avoid any issues on the day of the examination.
