The release of the RRB Group D Result 2026 has been temporarily delayed due to an ongoing legal matter pending before the Telangana High Court, the Ministry of Railways has confirmed.

According to updates shared via official social media channels, the result is currently on hold because of a petition concerning the weightage of marks awarded to Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) in the final merit list. The case challenges the calculation of Act Apprentice marks and their inclusion in the selection process, which could potentially impact candidate rankings and zone-wise cut-offs.

As a result, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have paused further processing of the results to ensure administrative compliance until the court issues its verdict. The Ministry of Railways noted that a decision from the Telangana High Court is expected soon, after which the RRB Group D results will be finalized and released in line with the court's directives.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 22,195 Level 1 positions across various departments of Indian Railways, including roles such as Track Maintainer, Pointsman, and Assistant. The selection procedure involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and medical examination.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official RRB websites for updates on the court proceedings and the announcement of the final results
