The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is likely to publish the provisional answer key for the SSC GD Constable Examination 2026 in the first week of June. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment test will be able to access the answer key and their individual response sheets through the official SSC website.

The release of response sheets along with the answer key will allow candidates to compare their answers, estimate their scores, and ensure transparency in the evaluation process.

SSC GD Constable Exam 2026 Overview

The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for SSC GD Constable recruitment was conducted nationwide in four phases between April 27 and May 30, 2026. Following the release of the provisional answer key, candidates will have an opportunity to challenge any answers they believe are incorrect within a specified objection period.

• Open the notification titled "Uploading of Tentative Answer Keys along with Candidates' Response Sheet(s) of Constable (GD) Examination 2026."

• Log in using your Registration Number or Username and Password.

• Submit the details to view the answer key and response sheet.

• Download and save a copy for future reference.

Marking Scheme

Candidates can calculate their probable scores using the following marking pattern:

• Correct Answer: +2 marks

• Incorrect Answer: -0.25 marks

• Unattempted Questions: No deduction

Vacancy Details

The SSC GD Constable recruitment drive aims to fill 25,487 vacancies in various central armed police and security forces, including:

• Border Security Force (BSF)

• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

• Secretariat Security Force (SSF)

• Assam Rifles

Out of the total vacancies, 23,467 posts are designated for male candidates, while 2,020 posts are reserved for female candidates.

The recruitment process witnessed significant participation, with more than 48.83 lakh candidates registering for the examination.

What Happens After the Answer Key?

Once the objection window closes, SSC will review all challenges submitted by candidates. After evaluation, the commission will release the final answer key along with normalized scores.

Candidates who qualify based on the final results will move to the next stages of the selection process, namely:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Physical Standard Test (PST)

Performance in these stages will determine eligibility for final appointment in the respective forces.
