Description
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated its Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal after a one-day delay, enabling students to apply for corrections in their scanned answer sheets and request re-evaluation of responses.
Originally scheduled to open on June 1, 2026, the portal remained inaccessible that day, raising concerns among students awaiting the next stage of the post-result process. On June 2, CBSE officially announced that the portal is now live and ready for online submissions.
Portal Availability
The verification and re-evaluation facility will be open from June 2 to June 6, 2026, until midnight. Only students who have already received the scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets are eligible to apply. Candidates must log in to their CBSE accounts and choose between verification of issues, re-evaluation, or both.
Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for accessing the portal. CBSE clarified that the entire application process, including payment, is online; offline requests will not be accepted.
Verification of Answer Sheets
Students can report multiple issues with scanned answer sheets, such as:
Missing pages or supplementary sheets
Blurred or unclear pages
Missing maps, graphs, or diagrams
Evaluation against the wrong question paper
Multiple subjects and issues can be included in a single application, but only one verification application per student is allowed. The fee for verification is Rs 100 per answer sheet.
Re-Evaluation Requests
Candidates unhappy with the evaluation of specific answers can also request re-evaluation. They must provide details such as the question number and page number for one or more questions across different subjects. The fee for re-evaluation is Rs 25 per question.
CBSE has emphasized that students should review all details carefully before clicking the “Freeze and Proceed to Payment” option, as no changes will be allowed after submission. Only one re-evaluation application per student will be accepted.
The Board will review all submitted requests and communicate the outcomes once the process is complete. To assist students, CBSE has also released a visual guide and video tutorial demonstrating how to submit applications through the portal.
