The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced the commencement of the phase three choice filling process for VITEEE 2026 counseling starting May 28, 2026. This phase is specifically for candidates with VITEEE ranks 45,001 to 70,000 and for buffer candidates who participated in phase two counseling but could not secure admission due to lower preference selection. Candidates are strongly advised to adopt a strategic approach, as the process will be available for only one day.

Eligible candidates must log in using their application number and password at the official portal. Since seats in popular courses at the Vellore and Chennai campuses tend to fill quickly, it is recommended that candidates maintain a long preference list to maximize their chances of admission. Preference selections will be considered over the weekend, and the phase three seat allotment results will be declared on May 31, 2026.

Steps to Fill VITEEE 2026 Phase 3 Choice

• First visit the VIT official website.

• Locate the B.Tech Counselling login banner on the homepage.

• Log in using your registration number and account password.

• Pay the counselling fee through your account to access the choice-filling dashboard.

• Select your preferred campus, branch, and category in descending order of priority.

Candidates are advised to carefully review their selections before submitting, as seat allocation will strictly follow the preferences and availability of seats at the respective campuses.
