HPBOSE Starts Registration for Class 10 and 12 Compartment Exams 2026

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has opened the registration process for Class 10 and Class 12 compartment and improvement examinations 2026. Eligible students can submit their applications online through the official website hpbose.org.

As per the official notification, students can apply without any late fee until June 1, 2026. After the deadline, candidates will be required to pay a late fee of Rs 1000. Applications with the late fee will be accepted till June 5, 2026.

The compartment and improvement examinations are scheduled to be conducted during June and July 2026.

HPBOSE Class 10 Compartment and Improvement Exam 2026

For Class 10 compartment examinations, students must pay Rs 700 per subject. The same fee applies to the essential improvement category. Candidates opting for optional improvement in one or up to three compulsory subjects will have to pay Rs 950. The fee for appearing in one additional subject is Rs 700.

• Last date with Rs 1000 late fee: June 5, 2026

HPBOSE Class 12 Compartment and Improvement Exam 2026

For Plus Two compartment and English-only examinations, the fee has been fixed at Rs 700. Students applying for improvement of performance in one or more subjects will have to pay Rs 1150. Diploma holder re-appear candidates and students appearing for one additional subject will also need to pay Rs 700.

Who Can Apply

The compartment examination is intended for students who were unable to pass one or more subjects in the annual board examinations. Meanwhile, the improvement examination is meant for students who wish to improve their scores in selected subjects.

Students are advised to carefully fill out the application form and verify all details before final submission.

HPBOSE will soon release the detailed examination schedule and admit cards for the compartment and improvement exams on its official website. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the portal for the latest updates regarding date sheets and hall tickets.
