The Staff Selection Commission Central Region has cancelled multiple shifts of the Constable (GD) Examination 2026 at examination centres in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh due to technical issues.

The official notice regarding the cancellation was issued by the Deputy Director (Exam) of SSC Central Region, Prayagraj.

SSC GD Exam Cancelled at Muzaffarpur Centre

According to the official notification, the Constable (GD) Examination scheduled on May 25, 2026, at the Aadarsh Pariksha Kendra in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, was cancelled for specific candidate groups due to technical problems.

The affected centre is located at the Bihar School Examination Board Regional Office, BB Collegiate Campus, Motijheel, Muzaffarpur.

The cancellation applies to:

• Candidates of the second shift who could not appear for the examination

• All candidates scheduled for the third shift examination

SSC stated that the examination could not be conducted smoothly because of technical reasons at the centre.

Fresh Exam Dates and Admit Cards to Be Released

The SSC Central Region has assured affected candidates that the cancelled examinations will be rescheduled on future dates.

Fresh admit cards for all affected candidates will be uploaded on the official SSC website in due course.

Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official portal for updates regarding revised examination schedules and admit card releases.

Earlier Cancellation Reported in Kanpur

Earlier, on May 18, 2026, SSC had also cancelled the first shift of the Constable (GD) Examination at an online examination centre in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The affected centre was:

Smt. Ramkali Iqbal Bahadur Online Centre, NH-19, Purwamir, GT Road, Sarsaul, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Commission, candidates assigned to this centre for the first shift could not appear for the examination because of unexpected technical failures at the venue.

The issue reportedly occurred without prior intimation to candidates.

SSC Advises Candidates to Monitor Official Website

The commission has urged all affected candidates to keep checking the official SSC website for the latest notifications regarding rescheduled examination dates and revised admit cards.

Candidates will be required to download fresh admit cards before appearing for the rescheduled Constable (GD) examination.
