The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has updated the examination schedule for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 by rescheduling the exam originally planned for May 28 to May 27. The revision was made after changes in the government holiday calendar for Id-u-Zuha (Bakrid).

In an official notice released on Friday, the Commission stated that the revised date applies to the Constable (GD) recruitment examination conducted for posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) positions in Assam Rifles.

The modification follows an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, which revised the official holiday date for Bakrid.

Fresh admit cards to be issued

SSC informed candidates that new admit cards for the examination scheduled on May 27, 2026, will be uploaded on the official SSC website approximately two to three days before the exam date through the candidate login module.

Applicants have been advised to frequently check the official SSC portal for updated admit cards, examination city slips, reporting schedules, and shift timings. The SSC GD Constable examination began on April 27 and will continue until May 30, 2026.

SSC advises candidates to rely only on official sources

The Commission has warned candidates against trusting unofficial updates circulating on social media platforms, messaging apps, or third-party websites. SSC clarified that all authentic notifications and examination-related announcements will be published exclusively on its official website.

Candidates are also advised to carefully confirm their examination date, centre location, and reporting time before travelling to the assigned venue.
