The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC CGL 2026, marking the beginning of the recruitment process for thousands of graduate-level government posts across the country. Along with the notification, the online application process for Group B and Group C posts in various ministries, departments, and government offices has also started.

Candidates can submit their applications through the official SSC portal starting 21 May 2026. This recruitment drive is expected to offer around 12,256 vacancies, making it one of the largest examinations conducted this year.

SSC CGL 2026 Registration Begins

As per the official schedule, the application window will remain open until 22 June 2026 (11 PM). The fee payment facility will be available till 23 June 2026 (11 PM).

The Commission has also announced a correction window for applicants, which will be open from 29 June to 1 July 2026, allowing candidates to make necessary changes in their submitted forms.

SSC has clarified that the current vacancy number is provisional. Detailed post-wise and category-wise vacancy information will be released separately on the official website.

SSC CGL 2026 Exam Schedule

The Tier-I examination will be conducted in computer-based mode between August and September 2026. Candidates who qualify in Tier-I will move on to Tier-II, which is expected to be held in December 2026. Results will be declared after each stage of the examination process.

SSC CGL is conducted every year for recruitment to prestigious central government posts such as Assistant Section Officer, Inspector, Auditor, Accountant, Junior Statistical Officer, and others.
