The Central Board of Secondary Education has enabled the online application facility for students seeking scanned copies of their CBSE Class 12 answer sheets. Eligible students can apply through the official portal.

The board announced the update through its official X account, informing students that the online system for requesting scanned copies of Class 12 answer books is now operational. Students can continue submitting their applications online.

According to the official notification, candidates may experience temporary delays in payment status updates because of heavy traffic on the portal. Students have been advised not to submit multiple applications in such cases.

The board also stated that students applying for scanned copies for grievance-related purposes will be given priority during the ongoing reevaluation process. Those requesting copies for record-keeping or archival purposes will be allowed access after the reevaluation procedure is completed.

CBSE Class 12 Answer Sheet Scanned Copy 2026: Steps to Apply

Students can follow these steps to apply online:

• First visit the CBSE official portal.

• Click on the link for scanned copy application available on the homepage.

• Enter the required login credentials.

• Fill in the necessary details carefully.

• Pay the application fee online.

• Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

• Keep a printed copy for future reference.

The application window for obtaining scanned copies will close on 23 May 2026.

Students are required to pay a fee of Rs 100 per scanned copy. Earlier, the charge was Rs 700, but the board has reduced the fee significantly. Payment can only be made through online modes such as Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Offline payment methods including Demand Draft, Postal Order, Money Order, Cheque, or Cash will not be accepted.
