Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a new fleet of AI-enabled Dial 112 emergency response vehicles and advanced forensic mobile vans in Raipur, marking a significant step toward strengthening public safety infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.

With this expansion, the Dial 112 emergency service will now operate across all 33 districts of the state. Earlier, the service was limited to only 16 districts.

The launch event was attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, and Assembly Speaker Raman Singh.

Emergency Service Expanded Statewide

The upgraded Dial 112 system is designed to provide quicker and more efficient emergency assistance to citizens throughout the state. Authorities said the new setup includes smart tracking technology, women-focused safety support, AI-based monitoring systems, and improved coordination for emergency situations.

The statewide rollout is expected to enhance response efficiency and ensure better connectivity between emergency teams and local authorities.

New Fleet to Strengthen Public Safety

During the event, the government introduced a large number of specialized vehicles aimed at improving emergency response and law enforcement operations. The deployment includes:

• 400 modern emergency response vehicles

• 33 surveillance units

• 60 highway patrol vehicles

These vehicles will be distributed across various districts to support faster emergency action, improved highway monitoring, and real-time public safety management.

The initiative also includes modern forensic vans that will help investigation teams conduct on-site forensic analysis more effectively.
