Description

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) will open the registration process for the Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) 2026, August session, starting May 26, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through CDAC’s official website until June 23, 2026.

The C-CAT exam for the August 2026 session is scheduled to be held on July 4 and July 5 at multiple test centers across India. Admit cards will be made available approximately three to four days before the examination. Each test will have a duration of one hour.

CDAC C-CAT 2026 Application Fee

Applicants will need to pay the following fees online while completing the application form:

  • Rs 1,550 for Course Category II (Papers A+B)

  • Rs 1,750 for Course Category III (Papers A+B+C)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the following disciplines:

  • Information Technology (IT)

  • Computer Science (CS)

  • Electronics

  • Telecommunications

  • Electrical

  • Instrumentation

A minimum aggregate of 55% in the qualifying degree is required. CDAC has confirmed that there is no age restriction for admission to its postgraduate certificate programmes.

How to Apply for CDAC C-CAT 2026

To register, candidates should follow these steps:

  • First visit CDAC’s official website.

  • Create a login account by providing basic details.

  • Complete the application form with personal and academic information.

  • Upload the required documents and photographs in the specified format.

  • Pay the application fee online.

  • Submit the form and choose the preferred exam date for the August session.

CDAC’s postgraduate certificate programmes span 24 weeks, including approximately 1,200 hours of training and 300 hours of self-study. The August 2026 batch of the postgraduate diploma programme is set to commence on August 24, 2026.
