Description

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has published the provisional answer key for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) computer-based test held on May 15, 2026. Alongside the answer key, NCERT has activated the objection management link on its official portal, allowing candidates to access their response sheets and challenge any discrepancies.

As per the notification issued on May 19, 2026, candidates can submit objections from May 19, 11:30 AM to May 21, 11:55 PM. Submissions beyond this period will not be considered. Candidates are required to provide valid references while raising objections, which will only be evaluated if submitted within the stipulated timeline.

Overview of Recruitment and Vacancies

The NCERT Non-Teaching Recruitment 2025-26 aims to fill 173 positions across various roles, including Clerk, Assistant, Lab Assistant, Multi-Tasking Staff, and other administrative posts. The vacancies are categorized as follows:

  • Level 10-12: 9 posts

  • Level 6-8: 26 posts

  • Level 2-5: 138 posts

These positions are available across India, and applications are processed exclusively through the official NCERT portal.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age, with age relaxation provided as per government norms. The reference date for age calculation is January 16, 2026. Selection will be based on candidates’ performance in the written examination and skill test, depending on the applied post, as outlined in the official notification.

Application Fees and Important Dates

Application fees are structured according to the pay level:

  • Level 10-12: Rs 1,500 (General/OBC/EWS)

  • Level 6-7: Rs 1,200 (General/OBC/EWS)

  • Level 2-5: Rs 1,000 (General/OBC/EWS)

  • SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted

The application window initially opened on December 27, 2025, and closed on January 30, 2026, with an extension provided for eligible candidates.
