Bank of Baroda has begun the online registration process for the recruitment of 5,000 apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This programme provides graduates with an opportunity to undergo one year of training in a public sector bank while receiving a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portals starting May 19, 2026.

The vacancies are distributed across various states and Union Territories, with Gujarat accounting for the highest share at 960 positions, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 764 and Maharashtra with 580.

The selection process will include an online written test, document verification, a local language proficiency test, and a medical examination.

Eligibility criteria and registration

Applicants must be Indian citizens and graduates in any discipline from a recognised university or hold an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government. Candidates already registered on the NATS portal must ensure that their graduation completion date is within four years of the cut-off date, May 1, 2026.

All applicants are required to register on either the NAPS or NATS apprenticeship portals before applying for the Bank of Baroda apprenticeship programme. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training elsewhere or have at least one year of work experience after graduation are not eligible to apply. For those registered under NAPS, the upper age limit is below 34 years as of the cut-off date. Age relaxation will be applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD categories as per government norms.

State-wise vacancies and application fee

Out of the total 5,000 vacancies, 2,148 are reserved for unreserved category candidates. Key distributions include Karnataka with 483 posts, Rajasthan with 412, Tamil Nadu with 199, and West Bengal with 194.

The application fee is Rs 800 plus GST for General, EWS, and OBC male candidates. Female and transgender candidates in these categories must pay Rs 600 plus GST, while SC, ST, and PwBD applicants are required to pay Rs 200 plus GST.

Selection process and application details

The selection process consists of a 100-mark online examination covering General and Financial Awareness, Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, and General English. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification and a local language test based on the state or UT applied for.

Candidates can apply for only one state or Union Territory. The last date to submit the application form is June 8, 2026.
