Description
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi has continued its psycho-social counselling and tele-support services for students, parents, and schools after the announcement of the Class XII Board Exam Results 2026.
The board stated that students and parents can still access guidance and assistance related to results, evaluation concerns, and post-result issues through its official support systems. This extension comes in the wake of increased discussions around exam pressure, anxiety linked to results, and queries after evaluation, especially as the Class XII pass percentage dropped to 85.20% this year.
Counselling support available until June 1
CBSE had initially launched its annual psycho-social counselling programme on January 6, 2026, ahead of the board examinations. The service was planned to continue until June 1.
The initiative was introduced to help students manage exam-related stress, emotional challenges, and anxiety during the Class X and XII examination period. The board has confirmed that support will remain available even after results for those seeking help with academic or emotional concerns.
24x7 helpline for students
As part of its support system, CBSE continues to operate a round-the-clock toll-free Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) at 1800-11-8004.
This helpline provides assistance in both Hindi and English, covering stress management tips, exam-related queries, and other important CBSE information.
The board designed this service to offer immediate and accessible help to students dealing with academic pressure and post-result stress.
Counselling network across India and abroad
CBSE’s tele-counselling service is also available from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on working days, where students and parents can speak directly with trained counsellors, school principals, psychologists, and special educators from CBSE-affiliated institutions.
The counselling network includes 73 experts in total, with 61 based in India and 12 located in countries such as Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE.
Additionally, CBSE continues to share digital resources on stress management, emotional well-being, and study planning through its official website, as part of its ongoing student support initiatives during the examination cycle.
