The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a recruitment notification for several senior-level posts on a contractual basis. The vacancies include Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and General Manager–Human Resources (GM-HR).

As per the official notice, eligible candidates can apply via email or by post. The last date to submit applications is May 31, 2026, up to 5 pm. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

NTA operates under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, and is responsible for conducting major national-level entrance examinations for admission to higher education institutions across India.

Vacancies announced

The recruitment drive includes the following positions:

• Chief Technology Officer (CTO): 1 post

• Chief Finance Officer (CFO): 1 post

• General Manager–HR: 1 post

All posts will be based at the NTA headquarters in New Delhi.

Eligibility criteria

For the CTO role, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Technology, Management, or a related field, along with at least 15 years of professional experience. This should include a minimum of five years in a senior leadership position such as CTO, CIO, or Head of Technology.

For the CFO post, applicants should be qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), MBA in Finance, or hold a postgraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance. A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, audit, accounts, or treasury functions is required.

For the GM-HR position, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline, along with at least 12 years of experience in the HR field.

The appointment will initially be on a contractual basis for three years, which may be extended depending on organisational needs and performance.
