The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have declared the results of the 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) under CEN 05/2025. Candidates who cleared the first-stage examination have been provisionally shortlisted for the 2nd Stage CBT.

According to the official announcement, the selection for the next stage has been prepared based on candidates’ performance in the 1st Stage CBT along with the post preferences submitted during the application process.

RRBs also confirmed that candidates who claimed reservation benefits under categories such as OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen will continue to receive the same category consideration throughout the remaining recruitment stages.

Scorecards and qualifying status released

Candidates can now access their scorecards and qualifying status for the 2nd Stage CBT through the official websites of their respective RRBs. The result link was activated on May 13, 2026, at 5 PM.

To check their results, applicants must log in using their registration number and date of birth. Along with the scores, candidates can also view their question papers and the officially marked correct answers.

Steps to check RRB JE Result 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to download their results:

• Visit the official website of the respective Railway Recruitment Board.

• Click on the “RRB JE Result 2026” or CEN 05/2025 result link on the homepage.

• Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth in the login section.

• Submit the details to access your result.

• Your scorecard, qualifying status, and other details will appear on the screen.

• Download and save the result for future use.

Candidates can also review their response sheets and answer keys through the same login portal.

Regional result links available

The result links have been released for several RRB regions, including Ranchi, Gorakhpur, Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Kolkata, Secunderabad, and Chennai.

2nd Stage CBT schedule

RRBs stated that the schedule for the 2nd Stage CBT will be announced separately. Shortlisted candidates will receive updates through official RRB websites, SMS notifications, and registered email IDs.

The exam city details are expected to be released around 10 days before the examination, while e-call letters or admit cards will likely be available four days prior to the test date.

Document verification process

The boards clarified that candidates will be shortlisted for document verification based on their performance in the 2nd Stage CBT.

RRBs further noted that all shortlisted candidates are being considered provisionally. The candidature may be cancelled at any stage if any discrepancy, false information, or unfair practice is discovered during the recruitment process.

The notification also emphasized that qualifying in the 2nd Stage CBT does not guarantee final appointment in the Railways.

The 1st Stage CBT examination was conducted on February 19, 20, and 25, 2026, at multiple exam centres across the country. The recruitment drive has attracted a large number of applicants for technical positions in the Indian Railways.
