The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 registration process is nearing its closing date. Candidates who have qualified in JEE Main must complete their application through the official website within the given deadline. The exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and is scheduled for May 17, 2026. The registration window opened on April 23 at 10 AM.

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee to complete the process. The fee is Rs 3,200 for general category candidates, while female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates need to pay Rs 1,600. The last date for fee payment is May 4, 2026.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2001. A relaxation of five years is applicable for SC, ST, and PwD categories. Candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years.

Applicants must have appeared for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates who have already taken admission in any IIT under specified programmes listed in the JoSAA rules are not eligible.

Exam and admit card details

The JEE Advanced 2026 examination will be held on May 17, 2026 in computer-based mode. It will consist of two compulsory papers covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each lasting three hours. PwD candidates opting for extra time will receive four hours per paper.

The admit card will be released on May 11, 2026 at 5 PM and can be downloaded until 2:30 PM on the exam day. It will include important details such as candidate name, roll number, photograph, date of birth, category, and signature.
