Description

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has announced a major academic expansion for the 2026–27 session, introducing five new courses along with seven new one-year postgraduate programmes. The university will now offer over 3,000 seats across 78 academic programmes, with admissions to be conducted through CUET-UG, CUET-PG, and NCET.

The announcement was made during a press briefing at the Kashmere Gate campus. Officials shared that the new offerings include programmes such as MA in Creative Writing, MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts), and BA in Museology, Culture and Heritage Management.

According to the university, these newly introduced courses aim to broaden academic opportunities and align with emerging educational trends. Other additions at the undergraduate level include BA in Visual Arts and a redesigned BSc Mathematics programme, which will also include a minor specialization in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

One-Year PG Programmes under NEP 2020

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, AUD has also launched several one-year postgraduate programmes in disciplines such as Psychology, English, Economics, History, Sociology, Political Science, and Hindi.

Officials noted that graduates from four-year bachelor’s programmes from any recognized university will be eligible to apply for these courses based on CUET-PG scores. The postgraduate admission process will begin shortly, followed by undergraduate admissions after CUET-UG results are announced.

Financial Support for Students

AUD has reaffirmed its commitment to financial inclusivity by offering full fee waivers for students belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories. Additionally, economically weaker students will be eligible for graded fee concessions.

The university emphasized that financial assistance remains a key part of its support system to ensure equal access to higher education opportunities.

Further details regarding admission schedules and application procedures will be published soon in the official information bulletin on the university website. Candidates are advised to regularly visit official website for updates.
