The Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu (DGE) is expected to announce the Tamil Nadu HSC Class 12 Result 2026 on May 8, 2026. Over 8 lakh students who appeared for the board examinations are awaiting their results.

As per a School Education Department official quoted by PTI, the evaluation of answer sheets has been completed, and the results will be declared soon after the announcement of election results. However, the department has not yet confirmed the exact time of release.

The Class 12 (HSC) board examinations were conducted from March 2 to March 26, 2026. Once declared, students will be able to check their results on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in.

How to check Tamil Nadu HSC Result 2026

• First visit official website.

• Click on “HSC Examination Results 2026” on the homepage

• Enter hall ticket number and date of birth

• Click on “View Result”

• Download and print the marksheet

Students should verify all details carefully after downloading the result. In case of any errors, they must contact their respective schools for correction. The online marksheet will include student details, subject-wise marks, total score, and qualifying status.

Previous year performance

In 2025, the overall pass percentage was 95.03%. Around 7.92 lakh students appeared for the exam, and nearly 7.53 lakh passed. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage of 96.7%, while boys achieved 93.16%.
