The National Testing Agency has declared the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate 2026 results on April 24, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their results on the official website by logging in with their application number and date of birth. It is recommended that candidates download and review their scorecards carefully for use during admission and counselling.

Exam Conduct and Schedule

The CUET PG 2026 examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from March 6 to March 30, 2026. The test covered 157 subjects and was held in multiple shifts across the country for admission into postgraduate programmes.

Candidate Participation

As per official data, a total of 4,11,366 candidates registered for the exam, out of which 3,45,220 appeared. Among them, 2,32,965 were female applicants (1,98,060 appeared), while 1,78,391 were male applicants (1,47,151 appeared). Participation from third gender candidates was also recorded.

From a category perspective, 1,60,099 candidates from the General category registered, with 1,31,748 appearing. The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category saw the highest participation, with 1,37,809 registrations and 1,18,000+ candidates appearing.

Subject-Wise Participation

The exam witnessed high engagement across subjects, with a total of 7,14,621 subject registrations and 5,04,301 attendances. Female candidates accounted for 4,05,905 subject registrations and 2,92,069 attendances, while male candidates registered for 3,08,697 subjects and recorded 2,12,220 attendances.

Result Preparation

The results have been prepared based on the final answer key. Before this, candidates were allowed to challenge the provisional answer key between April 11 and April 14, 2026. After reviewing all objections, subject experts finalized the answer key, which was then used to calculate the results.

Scorecard Details

The CUET PG 2026 scorecard includes important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, application number, subject-wise marks, normalized scores, percentile, and qualifying status.

Participating Universities

A total of 198 institutions will accept CUET PG 2026 scores for admissions. These include 45 central universities, 40 state universities, 24 government institutions, and 89 private or deemed universities.

Prominent institutions such as University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Jamia Millia Islamia will use CUET PG scores for postgraduate admissions. State institutions like Delhi Technological University and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi will also participate in the admission process.

Counselling and Admission Process

Each participating university will prepare its own merit list based on CUET PG scores. Institutions will independently announce their cut-offs and conduct counselling sessions. The NTA’s role is limited to conducting the examination, declaring results, and issuing scorecards.

The CUET PG 2026 score will remain valid only for the 2026–27 academic session.
