The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board has released the detailed syllabus and exam pattern for the Excise and Taxation Inspector Recruitment 2026. Candidates preparing for the exam can download the syllabus from the official website and plan their preparation accordingly.

The written test is divided into two sections:

• Minimum 50% marks (25 marks) required to qualify

• No negative marking

Part B (Main Examination)

• 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks

• Subjects include General Knowledge, Punjab History & Culture, Reasoning, Punjabi, English, and ICT

• Negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer

• Merit list is prepared based on Part B performance

The total exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

• General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 25 marks

• Punjab History & Culture – 17 marks

• Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability – 25 marks

• Punjabi – 13 marks

• English – 12 marks
