The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) will begin the online application process for Diploma Trainee and other posts on April 20, 2026, at 5 PM. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, powergrid.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 668 vacancies across multiple positions, including Diploma Trainee (Electrical, Civil, Survey), Junior Officer Trainee (Human Resources, Finance & Accounts), and Junior Technician Trainee (Survey). These openings are spread across different regions of the country. Vacancy Details

A total of 668 posts will be filled under this recruitment. The vacancies are available in both PGCIL and its subsidiary, Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL).

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma Trainee - Candidates must have a full-time three-year diploma in relevant engineering fields such as Electrical, Civil, or Survey.

Junior Officer Trainee (HR) - Applicants should hold a degree such as BBA, BBM, or an equivalent qualification.

Junior Officer Trainee (Finance & Accounts) - Candidates must have Intermediate CA or CMA qualification.

Junior Technician Trainee (Survey) - Applicants should possess a two-year ITI certificate in the Surveyor trade.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 27 years as of May 11, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes:

  • Written test / Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Computer skill test or trade test (if required)

  • Pre-employment medical examination

The written exam will consist of objective-type questions based on technical knowledge and aptitude.

Application Fee

  • Rs 300 for Diploma Trainee and Junior Officer Trainee posts

  • Rs 200 for Junior Technician Trainee (Survey)

  • No fee for SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates
