Description

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released advance details about exam city allotments for the 2026 UP Home Guard recruitment. The city intimation slip became available on April 18, 2026, enabling registered candidates to check the district where they will appear for the written test.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 41,424 Home Guard vacancies, with the examination being conducted at multiple centres across 74 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Applicants can view their allotted exam city by logging in to the official portal using their registration number and date of birth.

Exam dates and timings

The written test is scheduled for April 25, 26, and 27, 2026. Each day will have two shifts: the morning session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exam will be held offline using OMR sheets.

It is important to note that the city intimation slip only indicates the assigned exam district. It is not a valid document for entry into the examination hall and should not be considered as the admit card.

Admit card release schedule

Admit cards will be issued three days prior to each exam date. Candidates appearing on April 25 can download their admit cards starting April 22. Those scheduled for April 26 and 27 can access theirs from April 23 and April 24 respectively. The download link will be made available on the official website. Entry to the exam centre will require a printed admit card along with a valid photo ID.

Important instructions

Candidates should carefully review all guidelines mentioned in both the city slip and the earlier recruitment notification. The board has also announced that e-KYC verification will be conducted at exam centres, so applicants must ensure their Aadhaar is unlocked.

If candidates face any difficulties while accessing their city slip, they can contact the helpline or reach out through the official email support. The board has advised applicants to regularly check the official website for the latest updates and instructions.
