Description
The Ministry of Railways has issued the tentative timetable for the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) under CEN 07/2025 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) undergraduate positions. As per the notification, the examination will be conducted in several phases during May and June 2026 to manage the large volume of candidates.
The CBT-1 is scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9, followed by additional dates on June 13 and 14, and then from June 16 to June 21.
The RRB NTPC exam will be organised by different Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) at various centres across the country as part of the ongoing recruitment process.
Exam City Intimation and Admit Card
Candidates will be able to view their allotted exam city and date through an official link, which will be made available 10 days prior to their respective exam. This advance information will help applicants plan their travel and stay arrangements.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), travel authority passes will also be accessible through the same portal. All updates and links will be provided only on the official RRB websites.
Admit cards (e-call letters) will be released four days before the exam date. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre, as entry will not be allowed without these documents.
Aadhaar Verification and Important Instructions
Aadhaar-based biometric verification will be conducted at the examination centre. Candidates must bring either their original Aadhaar card or a printed copy of their verified e-Aadhaar.
It is important to ensure that all Aadhaar details—such as name, date of birth (as per Class 10 records), photograph, address, and father’s name—are correct and updated. Additionally, candidates should make sure their Aadhaar is in an unlocked state in the UIDAI system on the day of the exam to avoid any issues during verification.
Advisory for Candidates
The Railway Recruitment Boards have advised applicants to rely only on official sources for accurate information and updates. Candidates have also been warned against fraudsters or agencies promising jobs in exchange for money. The selection process will be strictly based on merit and performance in the Computer Based Test.
